Cheap Single Pushchairs

The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a great option if you're on a budget and don't need a stroller which can also be used as a car seat carrier. It features a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.

It's easy to push and it feels solid when walking along woodland paths and kerbs. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has built a reputation as the ultimate light-weight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its nimble maneuverability and fold-down that fits into the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. The most recent version comes with independent suspension on all 4 wheels made of Hytrel elastomer, allowing it to  effortlessly navigate all terrains and types'.

The base YOYO2 frame, curved fabric bassinet and 6+ month color pack combine to form a stylish pushchair that's easy on the eye, with a subtle but elegant design and stylish branding. The base frame alone weighs just over a kilogram and is so light you can easily lift it out of the box (and do so one-handed).

The hood, for example, snaps on the YOYO2 with a reassuring manner. It is also machine washable at 30 degrees, which helps to prevent staining caused by smushed and mashed rice cakes and carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as an infant stroller. It could also be converted into a stroller at 6 months with the YOYO connect to additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great choice for parents who are looking for a stroller that can be used in a variety of ways. It can be converted from a stroller to a wagon by simply turning the handle, which means parents can pick which mode they prefer on their trip. The wagon can fit two or three children ranging from 6 months to 5 years old. It comes with a large storage basket that can accommodate all your needs while on the go.

The Xplore also comes with two canopies that rotate from front to back, providing ample sun coverage for all family members. It also has a footwell, which is not as large or deep as some wagons, so it may not be ideal for longer excursions or for napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon is solid and sturdy, however, it isn't able to bend as much as some other wagons we have test. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and does not lock tightly when folded. It is easy to move however, and it is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents who are looking for a second stroller that is affordable. It earned an eye-catching score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and fold size, which means it's very light, compact when folded and easy to move into a trunk of a car or closet. It also has a multi-position reclining seat and a parent cup holder. Other important features include two large hanging storage bags and 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

It performed better in our push and turn test than most of the strollers we tested but is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades are among the most compact we tested, with only direct overhead coverage, and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a significantly larger canopy.

The Delta took us just over three minutes to put together with an average manual, and none of the components required tools. However, it is missing some critical features we believe you should consider non-negotiable for a double stroller such as an extra-large basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's newest pushchair that is advertised as a travel system for urban use. The seat reclines with one hand, and the big shopping basket makes it simple for parents to get their child in and out. Although it is a narrow pushchair it handled the bumps of everyday life well and went through doorways without fuss.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward-facing position, or they can pivot. This is useful for navigating through rough terrain. When we walked along the stony path we let them move and it performed well, though it did appear a little bumpier than others in our test.

Both the carrycot and seat have hoods that can be removed to reveal a UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are strong and waterproof, unlike other hoods for prams that can be blown back onto toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it does have an ample basket that is deep enough to hold a change bag or plenty of groceries. You can also use it with a Baby Jogger car seat for infants up 20 lbs (car seat and adapters are available separately). If you require a stroller that can be used on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an ideal choice.
